For me, photographs are, first and foremost, windows on the past.

On the other side of this one it will always be 1910. The people in the foreground are my grandparents, on vacation in Banff, Alberta. What it was like to live in this lost world we can never really know.

It certainly was a different world before the First World War. Transportation was still mostly horse drawn. People dressed up in hat, tie and bonnet, even for leisurely stroll. See the boardwalks? They needed them, because when it rained the roads were a sea of mud.

Reclaiming priceless family photographs before they fade beyond recall is something I love to do. A restored photo is an heirloom that can conjur images of your ancestors for generations to come. To see how affordable and simple it is to restore your photographic treasures to their full potential, visit my Process page.

I have a special interest in doing work for Museums and Historical Societies. Contact me if your organization needs this kind of service.
Attention Katrina survivors! If your irreplaceable family pictures were damaged by Katrina or other natural disasters, I am willing to do some free work for you, as my schedule permits.
